Induction Days for International Students at the UGR (10-11 Sept)

This academic year, more than 2000 new international students from over 70 countries will complete studies at the University of Granada, thanks to the diverse range of mobility programmes available at our institution. The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization will run Induction Days for these new students from 10 to 11 September 2018, and again in January and February 2019.

International mobility and development cooperation awards ceremony held

On Monday 17 July, at a ceremony held at the Hospital Real, the seat of the Rectorate, the University of Granada presented its prestigious Awards for Excellence in International Mobility and "Federico Mayor Zaragoza" Award for University Development Cooperation. The annual ceremony is held with a view to rewarding the outstanding contributions of UGR students to international mobility programmes and development cooperation initiatives.

UGR to hold conference on migrants, refugees and inclusion policies

The University of Granada will host the working conference titled ‘Migrants and Refugees: Inclusion Policies and Practices’ from the 22 to 23 June 2018. The conference will explore inclusion policies and practices aimed at migrants and refugees with a strong focus on local-level perspectives, bringing together researchers, policymakers, non-governmental representatives, as well as migrants and refugees.

International conference on the ‘hunger years’ during Franco regime

The International Conference ‘The History and Memory of Hunger during the Franco Regime (1939-1951)’ will be held at the University of Granada from 7 to 8 June 2018, bringing together speakers from six Spanish universities and prestigious international institutions such as the University of London, the University of Nottingham, and the Lyon Institute of Political Studies.
