This week the University of Granada hosted the 3rd meeting of the CHINLONE Erasmus+ project, which focuses on the development of high quality degrees and curricula at universities in Myanmar.
On the morning of 27th November in Brussels the Rectors of the Universities of Granada (Spain), Graz (Austria), Leipzig (Germany), Padova (Italy) and Vilnius (Lithuania), and the President of the University of Lyon (France) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the ARQUS European University Alliance, an initiative designed to promote deep integration of the six institutions in their teaching and learning, research, outreach and civic engagement missions.
The University of Granada will participate in a pioneering new project called PAgES, which aims to foster innovation and the exchange of good practices in the teaching of journalism in Libya.
The UGR is currently hosting the XIX Meeting of Rectors of the Tordesillas Group, bringing together 73 representatives from 35 universities in Brazil, Spain and Portugal. under the slogan “Inclusive universities to progress in the 2030 Agenda”. The event will explore how universities can best contribute to the global objectives adopted by UNESCO in 2015 as part of a new agenda for sustainable development aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all.
Over 5,000 international mobility places have been made available to UGR undergraduate students to complete study periods abroad in 2019-2020, with destinations in approximately 60 countries.
The University of Granada is pleased to announce that its 13th International Staff Training Week will take place from 26 to 30 November 2018. The main objective of the programme is to provide a platform for the exchange of good practices and know-how between the UGR and our partner universities.
On Wednesday 17 October the University of Granada launched its new Laboratory for Manufacturing and Prototyping (MakerSpaceUGR), a pioneering and collaborative work space that will enable students, staff and the public to design and produce products and pieces of architecture.
The University of Granada will run its VIII Japan in Granada Conference on 5 and 6 of October 2018, giving the UGR community and the public a unique opportunity to gain insights into the rich cultural and historical heritage of Japan.
For the seventh year running the UGR will hold its International Days, which will take place on 27 and 28 September, with a view to boosting student awareness of the wealth of opportunities available to them through our international mobility programmes.
The University of Granada, through its General Coordination for Entrepreneurship (UGRemprendedora), will participate in the Erasmus+ BIO-ALL (BIOHEALTH Gear Box Alliance) project, developing a wide range of activities designed to promote and consolidate entrepreneurial initiatives in the biotechnological and health spheres over the next three years.
