Içara Holmesland has been a Ph.D. professor in Education at Akershus University College since 1997. Previously, she had already worked as university professor in the Pontificate Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil).She has cooperated in many books and has written a great deal of articles comparing the education in Norway and Brazil and the teaching in European universities, among others.

Anne-Lise is a professor in Education oriented towards vocational and profession-oriented studies at Akershus University College. She has written several books and articles on Equality and Social Justice in Education. She has been Rector of the National College for Technical and Vocational Teacher Education and Training, Head of the Administrative Section of Studies at the University of Oslo and nowadays Anne-Lise is member of the international follow up committee of the UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education.

The Associate Professor Mette Hoie has worked at Akershus University College since 1986 and cooperates in an ongoing research project at AUC: A review of master theses in technical and vocational education 1999 – 2006. She has written several articles and papers on the role of teacher education in school Development, vocational teacher education, textbooks, etc.
