Scientists restore the vision of blind rats for 8 months thanks to artificial retina

An international team of scientists, of which the University of Granada is a member, has developed a new nanoparticle-based artificial retina prosthesis that can be injected into the eye. Thanks to this important scientific finding, published recently in the prestigious journal Nature Nanotechnology, blind rats had their vision restored for 8 months without the need for surgery.

Adaptation of Teaching and Learning in the 2020-21 Academic Year to Covid-19 Health Measures

The Plan for the Adaptation of Teaching and Learning in the Academic Year 2020-21 to the Health Measures deriving from the Covid-19 Pandemic is now available in English. It covers the adaptation of teaching, learning and assessment; work placements, internationalization and mobility programmes; undergraduate and master's dissertations; research activities; doctoral theses defences; the academic calendar; quality assurance systems; and measures and funding to support the implementation of this Plan.

Second application period for UGR master’s degrees now open (15 June – 16 July)

The second application period for UGR master’s degrees is now open and will run from 15 June to 16 July 2020. In the 2020-2021 academic year, the University of Granada will offer over 100 master’s degrees, including 7 fully online degrees, 10 blended learning programmes, 9 international double degrees, 4 Erasmus Mundus programmes, 5 bilingual programmes (Spanish-English) and 3 taught completely in English.
