Description of the research activity
This interdisciplinar group has the study of semigroups as a common purpose, either in Theory of Singularities, or in Commutative Algebra as well in Combinatorial Algebra.
As consequence of this work, several results in which numeric and afin semigroups play an esential role have been obtained. In particular, among recent works of the members of the group we can mention the study of families of Gorenstein rings, quasi-Gorenstein rings and complete intersections, Hilbert functions of tangent cones of monomial curves, good subsemigroups of N^2, Frobenius vectors, Hilbert series and gluing of afinne semigroups; curves at infinity, providing algorithms, studying Abhyankar-Moh semigroups, or even analyzing the case of plane branches of positive characteristic and explaining in detail invariants in that case such as Milnor number or Łojasiewicz exponents. In future works, the objective is to go in depth in the lines above, increasing the colaborations among the members of the node who are interested inapproched problems just like with the rest of nodes in the network.
