Sessions on:

The Journal of Metamorphic Geology and Tectonophysics have expressed interest in publishing special issues with a selection of papers presented at the conference.

Understanding how deformation and metamorphism interact during mountain building has been Tim Bell's broad research interest, but it's the information contained within porphyroblasts that has provided the main focus of his research group during the past two decades. Apart from authoring about 75 international papers that challenged conventional models of mylonite genesis, shear on foliations, ore formation, regional tectonics, porphyroblast rotation and orogenic processes, he also inspired the work of 64 former and active PhD students. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to bring together diverse views on the conference themes in order to explore how ideas have changed and where the future might lead.
