INFORMATION REGARDING SPECIAL ISSUES OF THE JOURNAL OF METAMORPHIC GEOLOGY AND TECTONOPHYSICS

The Journal of Metamorphic Geology, and Tectonophysics, have agreed to publish special issues from this meeting. The JMG has agreed to publish about 10 papers that will be devoted to the interrelationship between deformation and metamorphism in the broadest sense (including magmatism and mineralization). Manuscripts will be selected by the editors based on their judged relevance for this topic. The special issue in Tectonophysics can cover a wider range of topics, including deformation partitioning, numerical and analogue modeling of deformation, microfabric studies, and others apart from studies focused on interrelationships between deformation and metamorphism. We are considering a deadline for manuscript submission of 15 October, but will send out prospective papers for review as soon as they are received. The handling editors will be the conference conveners assisted by Doug Robinson for JMG papers, and a member of the Tectonophysics editorial board for Tectonophysics papers.

Please send us a statement of interest that includes a preliminary title of your intended contribution(s), which journal you prefer, and any explanatory notes that we might find helpful. Apart from papers from the conference participants, additional specialists in the field will be invited to contribute as well.

We will do our best as to ensure a fast and constructive review process
