Agricultura 4.0: Integrando Blockchain para una Producción Más Eficiente y Sostenible

Resumen

La agricultura es una industria fundamental que desempeña un papel crucial en la seguridad alimentaria global. En los últimos años, la tecnología blockchain ha emergido como una herramienta transformadora con el potencial de mejorar la eficiencia, transparencia y sostenibilidad en diversas industrias. Este artículo explora las aplicaciones específicas de la tecnología blockchain en el sector agrícola y cómo puede contribuir a superar desafíos clave, como la trazabilidad, la gestión de la cadena de suministro y la facilitación de transacciones seguras. Esta revisión se enmarca en las investigaciones realizadas en el proyecto europeo H2020, SUSTAINABLE, cuyo objetivo estratégico es probar y validar nuevos sistemas de inteligencia artificial (IA) de vanguardia como sistema de apoyo a la toma de decisiones (DSS); sobre una base económica y técnica sólida; para los procedimientos adecuados de gestión de la agricultura de precisión en función de las condiciones climáticas; geográficas y medioambientales específicas.
