TEACHING AND EVALUATION METHODOLOGY

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

In the teaching of the contents, the theoretical and practical classes will be combined with the organisation of seminars for the presentation and critical discussion on issues concerning the subject, as well as collective and individual sessions of tutoring and monitoring about specialised readings.

Through the presentation in the lectures, we will identify and analyse the main features of the EU constitutionalization process, with relation to the group of subjects on which the general framework of the doctoral programme is based. Moreover, in addition to the theoretical contents, practicial issues can be analysed through the use of specific material with the purpose of clarifying and deepening particularly complex and important aspects of the subject.

At the same time, it is possible to include in the teaching methodology the realisation of monographic seminars in order to present and discuss topics of special interest or relevance and to organize individualised and collective tutoring sessions in order to orient the contents, methods and research techniques toward the elaboration of work in accordance with the lines of the doctoral programme and the bibliographical and jurisprudential material related to the subject of study.

EVALUATION

In general, the degree of knowledge, analysis and understanding of the contents of the programme will be evaluated through monitoring by the teachers of different fields of study and research offered in the development of the doctoral programme. Specifically, special attention will be given to the following areas:

• The attendance of various meetings of the course
• Reading and analysis of the doctrinal texts, statements and other materials contributed by teachers
• Participation in the debates and dynamics of the course
• Preparation of a final essay about the different parts of the programme of the course
