In collaboration with the Beijing University, Fatih University (Istanbul), University of Paris XIII, Venice International University, University of Évora (Portugal), Federal University of Ceará ( Brazil), University of Bari (Italy), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Lev Gumilëv Eurasian National University of Astana (Kazakhstan) and others, such as Confucius Institute and the Andalusian Association of General Linguistics, the University of Granada continues its unwavering efforts of several years, defending and supporting cultural-linguistic studies, especially those related to the current Spanish and Andalusian status quo.

The Third International Conference on Languages and Cultures of the World (The Chinese language in Spain and the Spanish language in China / Languages and Cultures in Spain / Andalusia) aims at contributing to our knowledge of the linguistic and cultural situation of the minorities living in Spain and Andalusia, especially in regard to the curricula and knowledge of the different cultural backgrounds of the students in the classroom. We hope to encourage those invited to the conference and other experts and scholars who wish to participate to analyze the models of integration in other countries that can be used in Spanish and Andalusian schools. What is also needed is an analysis of both current conditions and difficulties that face students and teachers, which are derived from linguistic and cultural differences between host and immigrant children. Furthermore, it is essential to provide any kind of linguistic knowledge (pedagogical, sociological, anthropological, etc) to allow us to gain a more accurate and detailed insight into the problems arising from the presence of students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds in the Spanish and Andalusian classrooms. This year our conference addresses the main issue of language and cultural integration, as well as two other specific issues: The Chinese language in Spain and the Spanish language in China and Languages and Cultures in Andalusia/ Spain / Europe.
