Like most people from my generation, I've spent most of my life studying. I graduated in Physics, I obtained a Masters degree in Physics and Mathematics and defended my thesis dissertation to receive the degree of Doctor with international references. All three from the University of Granada and the two later by the graduate studies program FISYMAT.

My research focuses on Quantum Information Theory, more specifically on issues related to quantum entanglement, bosons composed by two distinguishable particles and density functionals applied to atomic systems. Currently, I belong to the quantum information Research group at the University of Granada and to the Instituto Carlos I of Theoretical and Computational Physics.

For a long time I have been passionate about science and the world around us. But those are not my only interests, I like to play the piano and to practice sports, particularly Freestyle skiing (Olympic specialty). Thanks to the support and enthusiasm of both my family and my coach (Alfredo Naranjo), I achieved several national titles and competed in European and World Cups.

I still enjoy skiing, but without a doubt it was the opportunity to travel what made me grow as person. Being the child of two avid travelers I had the possibility to visit different places from an early age. However it wasn't until I started to travel backpacking through different non-developed countries with my partner Elena, that I felt immersed in the reality of those places and the people living there. It was in Laos PDR, after spending a few weeks in a small village located in the jungle (Tha Luang) of the Mong ethnic group, when we decided that we should help, in every possible way, the people who need it most and have fewer opportunities.

Currently, I dedicate my spare time to coordinate a cooperation project in Ethiopia and to coach the Monachil Freestyle Ski Club. The satisfaction I get from such projects, by contributing to the happiness of others, is the largest I have ever experienced from a personal point of view.
