A brief summary of my professional life.

Engineer, Graduated in Information Systems from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the Catholic University of Nicaragua (UNICA), August 2000, received Distinction of High Honor and Silver Medal for Academic Record. In March 2001 he obtained a postgraduate degree in Information Technology and Computing, as part of the Master's studies in Computer Networks from the University of Engineering of Nicaragua (UNI).

In September 2003 he obtained a MAE AECCI scholarship to carry out doctoral studies at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain. In November 2004 he received the Certificate of the third cycle teaching period, with an outstanding grade from the University of Granada. In January 2005 he received the certificate of Advanced Studies of the third cycle (DEA), accrediting research sufficiency at the University of Granada. In January 2010 he obtained the official Master's degree in Multimedia Technology from the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering and Telecommunications (ETSIIT), of the University of Granada.

In September 2010, the General Directorate of University Policy of the Ministry of Education of Spain, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 285/2004, of February 20, approved the official Spanish university degree of Computer Engineer. In March 2011 he received the official title of Master of Science in Geophysics and Meteorology (GEOMET), based on the thesis "Initial steps in the construction of a classification system for seismic-volcanic events with Hidden Markov Models (HMMs): Application to the Telica volcano in Nicaragua".

That same year he enrolled in the PhD program in Earth Sciences at the University of Granada. Graduated with a PhD in Earth Sciences in September 2013 with a Cum Laude mention, with a specialty in Seismology and Geophysics. Thesis: Detection and classification of seismic-volcanic signals using Hidden Markov Models (HMMs): Application to active volcanoes in Nicaragua and Italy.

Scientific publications from 2005 to the time of Dr. Gutiérrez's doctoral thesis include publications in high scientific impact journals such as the: "Frontiers in Earth Science", "Scientific Reports", "Journal of Geophysical Research", "Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research", two chapters in two scientific books and various presentations at scientific conferences throughout several countries. Experience in university teaching in 5 universities, 3 in Nicaragua, 2 in Ecuador and at the UGR Spain.

Teaching activity runs for almost two decades in 5 foreign universities, three in Nicaragua: The American University (UAM) in (2013-2014 and 2020), the Polytechnic University of Nicaragua (UPOLI) (2002-2003) and the University of Commercial Sciences (UCC) (2003,2007). He has worked at two universities in Ecuador, as a research professor at the Geophysical Institute of the National Polytechnic University (IGEPN) in Quito (2014-2015), as a Geophysics 3, SP13, Grade 19, and the second at the Technical University of Ambato (UTA) (2015-2016). Working as a research professor at the Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. Also, as coordinator (IP) of a seismic-volcanic scientific project.

In Spain, he has held full-time contracts: A) 2019 Granada City Council. As a Database Computer Engineer. Development of applications with NATURAL language, PERL and ADABAS Database. Analysis and creation of modules for the Municipal Information System (SIM), with HTML, CSS, Javascript and EXTJS tools. B) 2017 Cadiz City Council. Computer teacher for vocational training groups. Institute for the Promotion of Employment and Training (IFEF).

Since 2021 he has been working as a Teaching and Research Staff (PDI), with a Research Contract with a Project Charge in the Theoretical and Cosmos Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences at the UGR. He is also attached to the Andalusian Institute of Geophysics and Prevention of Natural Disasters (IAGPDS) of the University of Granada (UGR).
