J. Alberto Aragon-Correa is Full Professor of Management at the University of Granada, where he holds the Strada Talent & Leadership Chair, the T-Systems Chair of Sustainable Digital Innovation, and the Lactalis Chair of Intrapreneurship. He is also the founding Director of the Talent Incubator at the University of Granada, a pioneering initiative that brings universities and firms together to promote professional growth and innovation. Alberto teaches strategy, digitalization, international management, and corporate sustainability at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, and is consistently ranked by students as an outstanding professor, earning multiple teaching awards throughout his career. He previously served as Honorary Professor of Management at the University of Surrey, where he was Research Director of the Centre for Sustainable Enterprise Management, and he has been a guest scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), UC Berkeley, and ETH Zurich.

His research examines how companies integrate the natural environment and sustainable innovations into their strategic decisions and governance. In this context, Alberto analyzes both the drivers of corporate sustainability — including the roles of investors, directors, executives, and regulators — and the performance implications of different strategic approaches. His work has appeared in leading academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, and the Academy of Management Annals, among others, and many of his publications are internationally recognized as seminal contributions to the field of management for their influence on subsequent research and their citation impact. His scholarship has received numerous honors and international awards, including the prestigious ONE Academy of Management Distinguished Scholar Award. He was the first scholar based outside the United States and Canada to receive it and remains one of only two in the award's 20-plus-year history. His expertise has also translated into practice through university-based consulting engagements with multiple multinational firms and public institutions across more than 15 countries.

Alberto currently serves on the steering committee of the European Institute for Sustainability in Management (iESG), a joint inter-university research institute involving five universities and nearly one hundred experts, and is Co-Editor of the Cambridge University Press book series on organizations and the natural environment. He is also a sought-after speaker and writes on business trends through the blog Business and Sustainable Future and social media. These current responsibilities build on a long record of leadership in the field: he is a former President of the Organizations and the Natural Environment Division of the Academy of Management, founding President of the GRONEN network, a past Editor-in-Chief of Organization & Environment and BRQ Business Research Quarterly, and has held multiple university leadership positions, including Deputy Dean, Head of Department, and PhD Director. This sustained record of service and scholarship has consistently ranked Alberto among the World's Top 2% of Scientists, a list compiled by a Stanford University team in collaboration with Elsevier, underscoring the global reach and lasting influence of his work.
