• Integration of sectoral (transport and hydraulic infrastructures) and territorial planning.
• Applications of Geographic Information Systems: Territorial Impact and integration of transport infrastructures, urban growth models and transformation of the landscape, land use planning scenarios, studies on the siting of landfills and other industrial activities, studies on biomass production and transportation.
• Urban-metropolitan sustainable mobility.
• Development and provision of public transport systems and social exclusion.
