Dr. Luis Álvarez de Cienfuegos Rodríguez  

  Luis Álvarez de Cienfuegos Rodríguez was born in Granada (Spain) in 1976. He graduated in Pharmacy in 1999 and obtained his Ph. D. Degree in Organic Chemistry in 2003, both from the University of Granada. Subsequently, he spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Professor Alexander M. Klibanov at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and one more as a postdoctoral associate at Tufts University in the group of  Professor Krishna Kumar. Starting January of 2008 he joined the group FQM-367 as a posdoctoral associate. Currently, he has promoted to "Profesor Titular" in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Granada. His research focuses in the areas of organometallic chemistry, radicals in organic synthesis and molecular electronics.
