El artículo que sigue presenta las principales líneas teóricas, prácticas y metodológicas que han ido sucediéndose en la investigación del uso del tiempo. Nos aproximamos al concepto uso dl tiempo vinculándolo al concepto de género en un espacio donde se entrecruzan las variables mujer, familia y trabajo (doméstico y extradoméstico). Iniciamos el recorrido por la investigación internacional; luego, presentamos el panorama nacional; seguidamente, observamos carencias importantes en el análisis histórico y enumeramos las más recientes propuestas teóricas y normativas sobre el tema que nos ocupa. Completamos en artículo con un sucinto repertorio bibliográfico donde se recogen las aportaciones más interesantes sobre el uso del tiempo y otras temáticas relacionadas.

The article that follows presents the principals theorist lines, practical and methodologic that have gone following in the investigation of the use of the time. Approximate Us to the concept time use linking to the concept of gender in a space where crisscross the variables woman, family and labour. Were initiating the traveled by the international investigation; later, we are presenting the national panorama; follows, we are observing important lacks in the historic analysis and are enumerating the most recent proposed theorists and regulations over the theme that occupies us. Complete in article with a succinct repertoire bibliographic where gather the contributions most interesting over the use of the time and other thematic related.
