Juan Lara-Rubio has a PhD in Economics and Business from the University of Granada (Spain). He is currently a Professor of Finance at the University of Granada. His current research interests are focused on the study of credit risk, and the Basel II banking regulations in Microfinance Institutions, where he has published articles in international journals. His last publications was “Improving the management of microfinance institutions by using credit scoring models based on Statistical Learning techniques” (2013).
