  Optical and microphysical characterization of natural and anthropogenic atmospheric aerosol particles using in-situ, laboratory, and active and passive remote sensing technologies. Air quality monitoring using in-situ techniques and mobile units in urban, rural, and high-mountain environments.

  Aerosol-clouds interactions

  Characterization of aerosol-clouds interactions using in-situ, laboratory, and active and passive remote sensing technologies. Characterization of clouds condensation nuclei (CCN), ice nucleating particles (INP), and new particle formation (NPF) in urban, rural, and high-mountain environments.

  Atmospheric radiative transfer

  Study and characterization of radiative fluxes in the atmosphere, radiative forcing, and the energy budget at the surface. New parameterizations of the Radiative Transfer Equation (RTE). Analysis of the corrections used in atmospheric aerosol measurement instrumentation. Closure studies: measurements-instrumentation-models.
