Dynamis will consider for publication reviews and essay reviews of texts on the History of Medicine and Science. Manuscripts should be sent, preferably by e-mail, to Rosa Mª Medina Doménech, Review Editor. The file should be attached in a PC-compatible format (preferably .rtf). The heading of the review should include the publication data for the book, in the same format as Dynamis references, and the ISBN number, with the price given in square brackets. The recommended length of reviews is between 350 and 2,500 words. Accompanying footnotes should follow general Dynamis guidelines. The sending of reviews does not automatically guarantee their publication.
Dynamis understands a review essay to be a critical review within the scope of the journal. It should include an update of the subject matter addressed by the reviewed text, so that it can contribute to a general historiographic debate and offer further recent references. The review essay should be between 2,500 and 5,000 words. References should follow the general guidelines of Dynamis. It is recommended that the authors propose a title for their essays.
