Instructions for reaching the office at the "Mecenas" building,
University Campus of Fuentenueva
You can find information on how to reach Granada

Once in Granada (see callejero),
you can reach the Mecenas building by foot, by taxi or by bus. Keep in mind that parking in this
area is very difficult. You can follow the instructions below or use this
link (in Spanish).
- Arriving by foot (see the
Granada streetfinder):
you need to walk towards the crossroad "avenida de Fuentenueva" - "Melchor Almagro".
You will see the main entrance of the "Facultad de Ciencias" right in front of that crossroad,
behind an automatic gate and surrounded by green areas. Enter the "Facultad de Ciencias" and
walk through the large Hall, maintaining the same direction, until you exit the building through the
rear door. The Mecenas building is on the other side of the street that you find there. It is
a 3-floor building with green bricks walls.
From centric places like "Puerta Real" or "Corrala de Santiago" (Realejo) it can be a 20 min
walk to reach the Mecenas building. From the
Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía
(IAA) it can take 40 minutes; aprox. 10 minutes from the IRAM, and
about 30 minutes from the Parque de las Ciencias (Science museum).
- Arriving by bus:
The city buses are colored red in Granada (except LAC, grey)and these are the ones we refer to here.
Buses number U1, U2, U3, C6, SN1, SN3 and SN5 stop very close to the Mecenas building in avd. Fuentenueva, or SN2 y SN4 in
Camino de Ronda.
Buses number LAC and N1 and N3 stop in "Avd. de la Constitución" (LAC) and calle Rector Marín Ocete (N1, N3), about 10
minutes walking from the Mecenas building.

- Arriving by car:
Parking is very difficult in this area, we recommend you to walk, use a bus or a taxi.
Driving on the "circunvalación" motorway, take exit n. 128 "Méndez Nuñez".
Drive through "Méndez Nuñez" (you will see two big "Hipercor" buildings at both sides
of the road) and then through "Avenida de Fuentenueva", until you see the "Facultad de Ciencias" on the
left (surrounded by green areas). The Mecenas building is located at the back of the
"Facultad de Ciencias", on a street with restricted traffic, internal to the University Campus.
Although parking is very difficult, possible places where to look are "Avenida Fuentenueva" or
"Gonzalo Gallas" (see the streetfinder).
