Over 5,000 international mobility places have been made available to UGR undergraduate students to complete study periods abroad in 2019-2020, with destinations in approximately 60 countries. The call for international mobility applications within the framework of the Erasmus+: Erasmus, Erasmus+ International Dimension and UGR International Mobility programmes was officially announced on Friday 9 November 2018.

Over 4500 mobility places are available as part of the Erasmus+: Erasmus Programme, thanks to the extensive agreements maintained between the UGR’s faculties and schools and higher education institutions in all 28 EU member states, as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey and Macedonia. Additionally, UGR students can opt to undertake mobility periods at a number of Swiss universities.

The diverse array of mobility places available through the UGR International Mobility Programme, meanwhile, has been made possible thanks to the collaboration agreements signed by the University and institutions across the globe. This programme offers over 500 places at approximately 128 universities in 25 countries, encompassing Latin America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North America, Arab states, the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. The broad scope of this initiative makes it one of the comprehensive of its kind in Europe.

The call for applications within the framework of the Erasmus+ International Dimension programme is also worth highlighting. This programme offers UGR students excellent opportunities to complete mobility periods in non-EU countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Russia.

The current call for applications is the product of an enormous collective effort from all of the stakeholders involved; an effort that has enabled the UGR to maintain its position as the leading European institution in both figures of home students sent abroad and incoming international students joining our community every year.

At the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization we believe that mobility experiences provide a once-in-a-lifetime occasion for personal, academic and professional growth. Accordingly, we would like to take this opportunity to strongly encourage all of our students to take part in these initiatives.

The deadline for applications as part of the Erasmus+: Erasmus and UGR International Mobility programmes ends on the 27 November 2018, while the application period for the Erasmus+ International Dimension programme will run from 20 November 2018 to 15 January 2019. Applications must be submitted via the “Acceso Identificado” Platform.
