
The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer plays an important role in promoting research and innovation at the UGR. Specifically, its objectives are to:

Promote the UGR’s participation in regional, national and international research projects and increase the funding available for these projects.

Effectively communicate funding opportunities and sources

Guide and advise researchers during the preparation of research project proposals

Support the development, execution and the justification of research projects

Increase the UGR’s financial resources for hiring research staff and for improving scientific and technological equipment.

Promote the international mobility of research grant holders at the UGR (via seminars, training sessions and conferences in other higher education institutions)

Provide research management services to the 123 Departments at the UGR, aiding them with proposals and enabling them to work together effectively.
Language abilities and training
The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer also provides researchers, teachers and doctoral students with foreign language support services. In particular, it provides the following three services:

Language support training for effective oral presentations at international conferences and seminars

English language support programme for writing international research project proposals

Language support programme to edit and publish outstanding work in a foreign language
