UGR to participate in Erasmus+ project on biotech and health

The University of Granada, through its General Coordination for Entrepreneurship (UGRemprendedora), will participate in the Erasmus+ BIO-ALL (BIOHEALTH Gear Box Alliance) project, developing a wide range of activities designed to promote and consolidate entrepreneurial initiatives in the biotechnological and health spheres over the next three years.

The 2018 ARWU places the University of Granada in 278th position in the world and as the third-highest ranked University in Spain, with 5 UGR subjects among the top 100, reaffirming its position as an institution at the forefront of national and international research.

Induction Days for International Students at the UGR (10-11 Sept)

This academic year, more than 2000 new international students from over 70 countries will complete studies at the University of Granada, thanks to the diverse range of mobility programmes available at our institution. The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization will run Induction Days for these new students from 10 to 11 September 2018, and again in January and February 2019.

13th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences

The 13th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences will take place at the University of Granada from 25 to 27 July 2018. Launched in 2006, the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Research Network is brought together by a common interest in disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, within and across the various social sciences.

International mobility and development cooperation awards ceremony held

On Monday 17 July, at a ceremony held at the Hospital Real, the seat of the Rectorate, the University of Granada presented its prestigious Awards for Excellence in International Mobility and "Federico Mayor Zaragoza" Award for University Development Cooperation. The annual ceremony is held with a view to rewarding the outstanding contributions of UGR students to international mobility programmes and development cooperation initiatives.

UGR participates in H2020 project on preventing radicalisation online

The University of Granada will take part in the EU Horizon 2020 project ‘PROPHETS: Preventing Radicalisation Online through the Proliferation of Harmonised Toolkits’, which aims to tackle the causes of online radicalisation, cybercrime and cyberterrorism. The project has a total budget of €2.99 million and will be carried out between 2018 and 2021.
