Chinesse new year

The Confucius Institute, which this year commemorates the 10 year anniversary since its founding at the University of Granada, will run a diverse range of activities to mark the beginning of the Chinese New Year (Year of the Dog) on Friday 16 February.

The dragon dance, a traditional performance typically staged during festive celebrations, will be held as part of a colourful parade from the Rectorate of the University of Granada to the Confucius Institute. In the evening, cultural activities, awards ceremonies and tastings of traditional Chinese dishes will take place at the UGR’s School of Building Engineering. All of the events are free of charge.
