The White Night festival of Granada 2018, which will take place on the 14 April, will encompass over 270 diverse cultural activities and will be dedicated to the renowned Spanish composer Manuel de Falla. During the White Night—held annually on the longest night of the year—Granada’s streets and squares will play host to a vast array of concerts, plays, magic shows, markets, exhibitions, parades, sports activities, poetry readings, guided tours, gastronomy, and activities for children.

These events will be held in more than 120 different spaces around Granada, including museums and heritage sites, theatres, and streets and squares, with free access and extended opening hours.

The University of Granada will actively participate in the White Night festival by offering diverse activities, such as a performance by the “Manuel de Falla” Choir; a tasting session of extra virgin olive oil and local bread; and guided tours of the “Madraza” Palace, Botanical Garden of the UGR, and “Hospital Real” (a building of considerable historical worth that currently acts as the UGR’s headquarters); as well as an origami workshop for children, among others.

Last year, more than 200,000 people participated in the White Night festival.
