Anti-mucositis gel developed at UGR to be widely available by 2022

Researchers from the University of Granada have developed new medication which could help to treat and prevent chemotherapy and radiotherapy-induced oral mucositis in head and neck cancer patients. The melatonin compound, in the form of a gel, has now passed phases 1 and 2 of clinical trials and is expected to be on sale by 2022.

International conference on the ‘hunger years’ during Franco regime

The International Conference ‘The History and Memory of Hunger during the Franco Regime (1939-1951)’ will be held at the University of Granada from 7 to 8 June 2018, bringing together speakers from six Spanish universities and prestigious international institutions such as the University of London, the University of Nottingham, and the Lyon Institute of Political Studies.
