Six leading universities establish the ARQUS European University Alliance

On the morning of 27th November in Brussels the Rectors of the Universities of Granada (Spain), Graz (Austria), Leipzig (Germany), Padova (Italy) and Vilnius (Lithuania), and the President of the University of Lyon (France) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the ARQUS European University Alliance, an initiative designed to promote deep integration of the six institutions in their teaching and learning, research, outreach and civic engagement missions.

UGR hosts XIX Meeting of Rectors of the Tordesillas Group

The UGR is currently hosting the XIX Meeting of Rectors of the Tordesillas Group, bringing together 73 representatives from 35 universities in Brazil, Spain and Portugal.  under the slogan “Inclusive universities to progress in the 2030 Agenda”. The event will explore how universities can best contribute to the global objectives adopted by UNESCO in 2015 as part of a new agenda for sustainable development aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for all.

UGR to lead H2020 project exploring causes of anorexia and bulimia  

The University of Granada will coordinate a pioneering new H2020 project called CogniTastED, which aims to shed light on how what we think about certain types of food can diminish or enhance their flavour. It will explore how this phenomenon can lead to extreme loss of appetite and weight, as well as to compulsive eating habits, among those suffering from eating disorders.
