Scientific contributions:
Oral presentations
The conference rooms are equipped with Pentium A (2.8 GHz) computers with 512 Mbytes RAM and 64/128 Mbytes graphic cards, DVD, USB ports working with Windows XP Professional operative system. Microsoft Power Point is available in all the computers.
For those speakers who request it, an overhead projection system is also available in each room.
Delegates should hand in the material for their presentation (CD, USB portable storage devices, diskettes) the evening before their workshop if it is a morning session or on the morning of the same day if the workshop is in the afternoon. There will be a special room set up for the reception of presentation material beside the registration desk.
Poster presentation
The posters should be 85 cm (width) x 120 cm (height). The posters should be displayed as soon as possible using the display boards provided in the exhibition hall. The display boards will be numbered and you should look for your number in the Book of Abstracts. The conference organization will provide the necessary material for attaching the posters to the display boards. The posters must be displayed for the whole symposium. Authors are required to stand beside their poster during the discussion sessions.
Useful information for your stay in Granada:The registration desk will be open from 16.00 to 20.00 h on Saturday 17 July and then from 8.00 to 20.00 for the following four days and then from 8.00 to 14 h on the last day of the symposium.

In July most banks open from 8.30 to 14 h but not on Saturdays. Most shops open from 10.00 to 13.30 and from 17.00 to 21.00 h., although the big department stores are open from 10.00 to 22.00 h.

Fellowships: The Organizers of PHOTOIUPAC’04 are aware of the considerable effort that some photochemists have to do, in order to attend meetings outside their own countries. Considering the requests received from a number of colleagues, the Organizers have decided to offer financial support not only to students, but also to established photochemists under temporary financial difficulties. The financial support will consist in covering the costs of accommodation in an University Residence. People to whom the fellowship is given will have to stay at the Colegio Mayor Cardenal Cisneros. Booking in this residence will be made by the local organising committee.
Visas: IUPAC sponsorship implies that entry visas will be granted to all bona fide chemists, provided application is made not less than six months in advance. If a visa is not granted two months before the meeting, the Organizers and the IUPAC Secretariat should be notified by the applicant.
Registration: registration forms should be sent electronically. Please consult deadline dates.
Methods of Payment: please see details on the registration form. Registration can only be accepted after receipt of the appropriate congress fee.
Cancellations: cancellations can be accepted, provided that written notification is sent to the Secretariat Office before 15 May 2004. Fees will be refunded, minus a handling charge of 20%. All refunds will be processed after the congress.
Accommodation: bookings must be made on the accommodation form and sent directly to "Viajes El Corte Inglés" (see form for address etc) before 30 May 2004. See above the special accommodation conditions for people having fellowships
IMPORTANT NOTE: Following the normal procedure of travel agencies, "El corte Inglés" travel section has informed us that the full cost of the hotel accommodation must be paid when you make your hotel booking.We would also like to inform you that the hotels Dauro 1 and Basilios are now fully booked.
Conference banquet: 45 euros. To be held in a historic building in Granada. Please register and pay for the banquet on the registration form. On site registration for this meal may not possible.
