Bilbao is easily reached by direct plane from many European airports (Brussels, Frankfurt/Main, Lisbon, London, Milano, Paris, Zürich, etc. and can be reached from just about everywhere via Barcelona or Madrid).

Weather is rather changeable in this region, so take appropriate clothes, for rain and sunshine!
Temperature is fine.

Those arriving to Bilbao Airport may take the airport-bus (every 30 min.) to down-town. The university residence is near the Metro Station "Sarriko". Taxi from the airport to the residence is about 18 euro - if you take a taxi tell to the driver: "a la Residencia Miguel de Unamuno en San Ignacio, Avenida Lehendakari Aguirre, 140 (antes Avenida del Ejercito)".

Those arriving by car have to leave the motorway at the exit "Bilbao Oeste" to "Sabino Arana Goiri" Avenue, and arriving to the "Sagrado Corazon" Square follow towards "Deusto"; you will cross the river and take "Julio Urkijo" Street, and at the end turn to left into "Lehendakari Aguirre" Avenue. University residence is at number 140 - in the map it is marked "Residencia Universitaria Miguel de Unamuno/Miguel de Unamuno Ikastetxe Nagusia" (oficial name is "Colegio Mayor Miguel de Unamuno")

Those arriving by Ferry, may take a train (station is near by) until "San Mames" Station, and there change to Metro until "Sarriko" Station.
