Short Bio

Miguel Molina was born in Granada (Spain) in 1984. He received his M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 2007 and his M.Sc. in Soft Computing and Intelligent Systems in 2008, both at the University of Granada. He has been awarded with several research scholarships from University of Granada, Spanish Government and Spanish National Research Council. He completed Intermediate studies in piano at Music Conservatory of Granada in 2004.

He is a Ph.D. researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence of University of Granada and member of the Approximate Reasoning and Artificial Intelligence (ARAI) group. His current main research interests are Music Information Retrieval, Artificial Creativity, Soft Computing and Multiagents.

Miguel has done research stays at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA-CSIC) (Barcelona, Spain) in 2007, the Department of Computational Perception at JKU University (Linz, Austria) in 2009, and the Department of Computing at Goldsmiths, University of London (United Kingdom) in 2010.

Información personal

Miguel Molina nació en Granada (España) en 1984. Completó sus estudios de Ingeniero en Informática en 2007 y obtuvo el master en Soft Computing y Sistemas Inteligentes en 2008, ambos por la Universidad de Granada. Ha sido premiado con diversas becas de investigación de la Universidad de Granada, el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas y el Gobierno Español. En 2004 terminó sus estudios intermedios de piano en el conservatorio Ángel Barrios de Granada.

En la actualidad, se encuentra realizando su tesis doctoral en el Departamento de Ciencias de la Computación e Inteligencia Artificial de la Universidad de Granada y es miembro del grupo ARAI (Approximate Reasoning and Artificial Intelligence). Las líneas de investigación en las que actualmente trabaja son: Recuperación de Información, Creatividad Artificial, Soft Computing y Sistemas Multiagente.

Miguel ha realizado estancias de investigación en el Instituto de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial (IIIA-CSIC) (Barcelona, España) en 2007, en el Department of Computational Perception de la JKU University (Linz, Austria) en 2009, y en el Department of Computing en Goldsmiths, University of London (Reino Unido) en 2010.
