Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (1789) Assembly August 26 1789 represents the consolidation of the first major victory bourgeois against the old regime and the legal materialization of the theoretical principles developed by the philosophers of natural law and the founders of liberalism.

b. Charter of the United Nations ( 26 June 1945)
Chapter I, to establish their purposes and principles, abounds in several articles on the Philosophy of Peace: 1. The Purposes of United Nations are: 1. Maintaining peace and security international, and to that end: to take effective collective measures to prevent and remove threats to peace and to suppress acts of aggression or other breaches of peace, and achieving by peaceful means in accordance with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead a breach of the peace; 2. Among nations friendly relations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen peace universal, 3. To achieve international cooperation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural or humanitarian character and in the development and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as race, sex, language or religion; and 4. Serve a center for harmonizing the actions of nations in the attainment these common ends; ....


d. Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) ... the liberty and dignity human being (Art. 1), the equality before the law (Article 7), the no discrimination based on race, culture or religion (Art. 16, 18), free expression and opinion (Art. 19), rights political people (Art. 21), right health (Art. 21) to leisure (Art. 22, 25), education (Art. 26) and knowledge (Art. 27), etc.

Because 2000 should be a new beginning for us all. Together we can transform the culture of war and violence into a culture of peace and nonviolence; Because this transformation demands the participation of each one of us and offers young people and future generations the values that help them build a more just, more caring, more freedom, dignity, harmony and prosperity for all: for the culture of peace can underpin sustainable development, protection the environment and the personal satisfaction of every human Because I am aware of my share of responsibility for the future of humanity, especially for the children of today and tomorrow. I pledge in my daily life, my family my work, my community, my country and my region to: respect life and dignity of every person without discrimination or prejudice to practice active nonviolence, rejecting violence in all its forms: physical, sexual, psychological economic and social, in particular towards the most weak and vulnerable such as children and adolescents to share my my time and material resources to the generosity end to exclusion, injustice and oppression political and economic freedom to defend expression and cultural diversity, giving preference always listening and dialogue, without engaging in fanaticism, defamation and rejection of others, to promote responsible consumption and a way development that takes into account the importance of all forms of life and the balance of the planet's natural resources; contribute to the development of my community, with the full participation of women and respect for the principles democratic, in order to create together new forms of solidarity.
