Dr. Francisco Santoyo Gonzalez |
Francisco Santoyo-Gonzalez was born in Cabra de Santo Cristo, Jaén (Spain) in 1953. He received all of his degrees from the University of Granada (B. Sc., 1975; Ph. D. 1979). From 1976 to 1978 he was granted from the Ministerio de Educacion y Ciencia and pursued researches under the supervision of Professor Fidel Jorge Lopez Aparicio. In 1978 he was engaged as Assistant Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Granada. In 1982 he was appointed Associate Professor in the same University and finally promoted to Full Pofessor in Organic Chemistry in 2000. Since 1987 he is the group leader of the Carbohydrate Research Group of the University of Granada. He has been a visiting scientist at the University of Ottawa in several occasions working with Professor Hans H. Baer and René Roy.

Dr. Joaquin Isac Garcia |
Joaquín Isac-García was born in Torreblascopedro, Jaén (Spain), in 1956. He studied Chemistry at the University of Granada, where he obtained his B. Sc and Ph. D degrees in Chemistry in 1978 and 1985, respectively, under the supervision of Professor F.J. López-Aparicio. From 1981 to 1987 he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Granada and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1988. Dr. Fernando Hernandez Mateo |
Fernando Hernández-Mateo was born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, in 1960. He studied Chemistry at the University of Granada, where he obtained his B. Sc and Ph. D degrees in Chemistry in 1982 and 1986, respectively, under the supervision of Professor F. Santoyo-González. In 1987 he joined the group of Professor Hans H. Baer at the University of Ottawa (Canada) where he was doing researches as Postdoctoral Assistant and as NATO Scientific Fellowship. In 1988 he was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Organic Chemistry Department of the University of Granada. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1990. Francisco G. Calvo-Flores was born in Granada (Spain) in 1958. He studied Chemistry at the University of Granada, where he obtained his B. Sc and Ph. D degrees in Chemistry in 1981 and 1987, respectively, under the supervision of Professor F.J. López-Aparicio. After a postdoctoral stay (1988-1989) in the Institut of Chimie des Substances Naturelles (CNRS) at Gif-sur-Yvette (France) he came back to the University of Granada. From 1984 to 1989 he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Granada and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1994.
