RESUMEN

Se han ensayado seis agentes, éter etílico, D-limoneno, clofibrato, mentol, mono-octanoína y metil-tert-butil éter en la disolución de 196 cálculos biliares extraídos mediante operación en el Hospital Clínico San Cecilio de Granada.
Ninguno de los seis agentes fue eficaz en la disolución de los cálculos de bilirrubina, mientras que en los cálculos de colesterol, el solvente más potente y rápido ha sido el metil-tert-butil-éter.

ABSTRACT

The study deals with the effects produced by 6 chemical agents on the dissolution of 196 gallstones extracted by surgery at S. Cecilio Hospital in Granada, Spain.
The agents used were ethyldiethyl ether, D-limonene, clofibrate, monooctanoin, menthol and methyl tert-butyl ether. None of them was found to be efficient in the dissolution of pigment biliary stones, while methyl tert butyl ether was the best dissolving of cholesterol calculi. .
