I was born in Granada in 1977. In 2001, I obtained my bachelor degree in Chemistry at the Universidad de
Granada, later in 2002 I began my Phd studies in Salamanca
within an interuniversity Phd courses. After that I started my research in Universidad de Granada
about the nature of the chemical bond in carbon ylides and their
boron analogues in the "Grupo de Modelizacion y Diseño Molecular" (GMDM), this research was coached by professor Jose Antonio Dobado who is the head of the group.
In June of 2004 I presented my Master thesis, entitled "Estudios teóricos sobre la naturaleza del enlace
químico en iluros de pnicógeno y sus análogos de boro". Later I went to Helsinki to work under the supervision of Prof. Markku R. Sundberg in the nature of the chemical bond in triborane derivatives and their propierties as hydrogen storage.
Finnaly I obtained my PhD in Chemistry in 2007 with a dissertation entittled "Caracterización del enlace químico en compuestos de boro, iluros y reacciones de
aza- y arsa-Wittig: QTAIM y análisis ELF de la densidad electrónica", this thesis was directed by prof Jose Antonio Dobado and Dr. Santiago Melchor. Then I became my postdoctoral fellow in Universitat Jaume I with Prof. Juan Manuel Andres Bort,
where I worked in different frameworks, weak interactions in
halogen bonding compounds, and nature of the chemical bond of
endoperoxides in biological systems.
Nowadays, I am working in University of Pisa, in the group of Benedetta Mennucci
in computational studies of the effect of metal nano-particles in the
fluorescence emison in vecinal cromopheres, within the framework of
Polarization Continuum Model.
