The current society demands more sustainable materials and enable energy savings. It thus appears an attractive niche market for manufacturers of materials that have been raised on how this can cover these needs. This article describes an R & D project that, starting from agroforestry biomass or exfoliated vermiculite has created new composites with thermal properties, flame retardant, acoustic, ... whose end use application is directed at building sector. It also details the importance of technical solutions generated from a technical and environmental perspective.
