Title: Psychological and contextual factors involved in the perception and risk behavior in driving scenarios
Proyecto de excelencia. P09-SEJ-4752  (Junta de Andalucía)
From: 01-01-2010         to:   01-01-2013
Chief: Antonio Cándido
Our general aim is to describe the relevant factors in risk perception and behaviour in driving scenarios. Those factors influencing risk taking and its change.
We are using a two step research strategy:
1.    First: design computer screen experiments to isolate theoretical relevant variables en those scenarios
2.    second, implement those experimental tasks in a medium fidelity moped simulator (Honda Riding Trainer)

In both tasks, we add different dependent variables:
A.    Behavioural: Reaction time and number of accidents and errors
B.    Psychophysical analysis:  Signal detention theory
C.    Psychophysiological measures: peripheral an central measures

To better understand decision making and risk taking in driving scenarios

Facilities
Honda Ryder Simulators
EEG technology (Nuamps, Brain vision)
Peripherical psychophysiology (PowerLab)
Eye-movements technology (Eye-Link II, facelab, Tobby)

Graduate and Phd students are welcome
