Over 200 researchers to take part in the 2017 ReUSO Conference

The 5th ReUSO International Conference on the documentation, conservation and restoration of architectural heritage and landscape protection will involve the participation of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the University of Florence, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the University of Pavia.

This year, the 5th edition of the ReUSO International Conference will be held in Granada – home to the Alhambra, Albayzín and an array of other significant heritage sites, from the 18th to the 21st October. Organized by the UGR’s School of Architecture, the Department of Architectural Construction and the Business-UGR General Foundation in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the University of Florence, the event will bring together international researchers, professional and students to explore the uses given to architectural, urban, cultural and industrial heritage. The conference venue for this year’s conference will be the School of Architecture in Granada.

The conference will be chaired by the Spanish Minister of Development (Ministro de Fomento de España), Íñigo Joaquín de la Serna Hernáiz and the Spanish Minister of Education, Culture and Sport (Ministro de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de España), Íñigo Méndez de Vigo y Montojo. Moreover, the Scientific Committee will include significant national and international experts and researchers, mainly from Spain and Italy.

ReUSO Granada 2017 will be the 5th edition of a conference which is alternately held in Spain and Italy. Previous conference venues include the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ReUSO2013), the University of Florence (ReUSO2014), the Polytechnic University of Valencia (ReUSO2015) and the University of Pavia (ReUSO2016).
